Rose Care
Are you confused about when, how, and why to prune roses the right way?
We will simplify Rose care in the PNW, and teach you not only when to fall-winter prune roses, but demystify how and why. Including tips on mulching, spraying organics and general timeline of a year in the life of a Rose, this class will give you a leg up on gliding into Fall feeling great about your Roses.
Horticulturist Amy will take you into the Gardens, and show you how we 'winterize' our Rose shrubs. We will visit shrub roses, and climbing roses, for a demonstration on fall clean-up, and pruning for best results moving into Winter. You will have the confidence to go home, and prune your own roses, after a thoughtful and detailed demo and discussion.
Tired of paying a professional to do it for you? Worried about making 'wrong' cuts or damaging your expensive plants? We got you.
This workshop will be held outside, rain or shine. As Gardeners, we work in all elements, and our Roses are outside. Please dress and prepare accordingly for an early Fall in the Gardens.
